At LUMOTIC, every clock is designed to combine technology, design and ease of use. Today, I’m delighted to introduce a new addition to my range of word clocks, proudly made in France: The LUMODESK.
Specially designed to sit on a desk, shelf or piece of furniture, this compact word clock adds a touch of modernity and originality to your workspace while remaining elegant and discreet.
A word clock designed for your desk
Word clocks have been captivating people for several years with their unique way of displaying the time. Instead of reading numbers, users discover a luminous phrase that spells out the time in words. This approach transforms an everyday object into a true decorative feature.
With the LUMODESK, I wanted to offer a more compact version, perfectly suited to workspaces. Measuring 20 x 20 cm, it fits effortlessly on a desk, bookshelf, console table or bedside table.
Its light oak-effect frame adds a warm touch, blending seamlessly into both contemporary interiors and professional environments. At approximately 5 cm deep, it has an elegant presence without taking up too much space.
The clock can simply be placed on a piece of furniture or tilted slightly using its rear support system, allowing you to choose the most comfortable viewing angle.
A sleek and refined design
LUMODESK retains the distinctive visual identity of LUMOTIC clocks: a bright, perfectly legible display behind anti-reflective acrylic glass.
This choice of material offers several advantages:
- Reduced unwanted reflections.
- Improved readability, day and night.
- Greater impact resistance than traditional glass.
- Lightweight for easier handling.
The result is an elegant, modern clock that is a pleasure to look at at any time of day.
Handcrafted in France
Like all my creations, every LUMODESK is made in France in my workshop.
I pay special attention to every stage of the manufacturing process:
- Frame assembly;
- Electronics integration;
- Software configuration;
- Quality control;
- Functionality testing.
This handcrafted approach allows me to ensure a reliable product while retaining the flexibility to make custom adjustments to meet individual needs.
A connected word clock that always keeps perfect time
LUMODESK is much more than just a decorative clock. It features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing it to stay synchronised at all times.
Connecting to your home Wi-Fi network is recommended to enjoy several benefits:
- Automatic time synchronisation;
- Automatic adjustment to the country's time zone;
- Automatic adjustment for daylight saving time (summer/winter time changes);
- Software updates and interface improvements.
Once configured, the clock automatically adjusts its display without any user intervention.
No more manual adjustments after a power outage or when switching to daylight saving time!
Easy setup from a smartphone or computer
La gestion de la LUMODESK a été pensée pour être accessible à tous.
Les paramètres peuvent être modifiés :
- depuis un smartphone ;
- depuis une tablette ;
- depuis un ordinateur.
Two connection modes are available:
· Direct connection to the clock
The user connects directly to the clock’s Wi-Fi network to access its settings.
· Connection via your home Wi-Fi router
In this mode, the clock connects to your home Wi-Fi network. You then benefit from automatic time synchronisation and future software updates released regularly.
This flexibility allows everyone to choose the solution that best suits their needs.
Personalised messages to brighten up your day
One of LUMODESK’s most appreciated features is its ability to automatically display predefined messages at specific times of the day.
Here are a few examples:
- « C’est l’heure du café »
- « C’est l’heure du break »
- « C’est l’heure du dodo »
- « C’est l’heure du petit déj »
- « C’est l’heure de l’apéro »
- « À taaable »
- « C’est l’heure du goûter »
These messages add a fun and friendly touch to the clock. In an office, they can even become a little daily ritual enjoyed by colleagues or family members.
Customisable Lighting to Suit Your Mood
Because every interior is different, LUMODESK offers a wide range of customisation options.
You can customise:
- the brightness;
- The display colour;
- The overall look and feel of the clock.
No fewer than nine different colours are available, covering the full spectrum of rainbow hues.
You can choose a subtle light for work, a warm colour for your living room, or a more vibrant shade to add a touch of originality to your space.
