A New Chapter for the LUMOTIC Range
Since launching my first LUMOTIC word clocks, my goal has remained the same: to create original products that combine design, technology and French craftsmanship.
Following the LUMODESIGN, LUMO30, LUMO70 and LUMODESK models, I’m delighted to introduce a new development in the collection: the LUMEUROP range, a series of word clocks available in several European languages.
This new development opens up exciting possibilities. The time is no longer displayed exclusively in French: it can now be read in English, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese, depending on the model you choose.
The idea is simple: to preserve the original concept of LUMOTIC word clocks while adapting it to different languages and cultures. This makes these creations accessible to a wider audience and offers a unique decorative feature for anyone who loves languages and travel.
A Word Clock in the Language of Your Choice
A word clock works differently from a traditional clock. There are no hands or numbers to tell the time: instead, letters light up to form a phrase.
With the LUMEUROP range, this experience is available in six language versions: French. 🇫🇷, English 🇬🇧, German 🇩🇪, Italian 🇮🇹, Spanish 🇪🇸 or Portuguese 🇵🇹.
Each model has its own display, designed to suit the language in question. The words and phrases shown are tailored to each version to ensure that the time is displayed in a natural and coherent way.
The result: An original clock that transforms telling the time into a unique visual experience, whatever language you choose.
Whether you want to enjoy your native language, practise a foreign language or simply give a unique gift, LUMEUROP brings a new dimension to the world of word clocks.
Predefined Messages Tailored to Each Language
The LUMEUROP range offers more than just a way to display the time.
Each version also features predefined messages in the corresponding language. These little phrases that add rhythm to everyday life are an integral part of the experience offered by each model.
Coffee time, breakfast, snacks or aperitifs: these familiar moments can be brought to life with expressions tailored to the language of your clock.
This feature adds a friendly, playful touch to the clock. It also offers a chance to discover or rediscover everyday expressions in another language.
Imagine a clock displaying the time in German in an office, an English version in a contemporary living room, or a Spanish clock in a holiday home. LUMEUROP fits naturally into a wide range of settings and appeals to both individuals and foreign-language enthusiasts.
An LED Strip in the Colours of the Country
To take customisation a step further, I wanted to offer an additional feature: the option to display an LED strip in the colours of the country associated with the chosen language.
Depending on the version, this illuminated strip features the colours of the corresponding national flag. This distinctive lighting makes it easy to identify the clock’s language version at a glance and highlights its linguistic identity.
However, as everyone has their own aesthetic preferences, this feature is entirely optional: the illuminated flag can be switched on or off to suit your taste.
Would you prefer a more discreet clock, displaying only the words that tell the time? You can choose to switch off the flag. Or would you rather highlight the colours of the country? Simply leave the LED strip switched on.
This flexibility allows you to tailor the appearance of your clock to match your interior décor and the atmosphere you wish to create.
A Compact Design with an Oak-Finish Frame
The new LUMEUROP clocks retain a compact design, allowing them to fit easily into a wide range of spaces.
Their oak-finish frame adds a warm, natural touch. It enhances the illuminated display while complementing a variety of interior styles, from contemporary to traditional.
The dimensions are as follows: Height: 20 cm, Width: 20 cm, Depth: approximately 5 cm.
Thanks to its compact 20 × 20 cm format, the clock can be placed on a desk, shelf, bedside table or living room unit.
It can be placed directly on a piece of furniture or tilted slightly using its integrated rear stand. This allows you to choose the viewing angle that suits you best.
Each model comes with a 220 V to 5 V power supply for easy installation.
The LUMOTIC Spirit: An Original, Customisable Clock
With LUMEUROP, I’m continuing to develop my collection while staying true to the principles that matter most to me: creating original, carefully crafted word clocks designed to bring a distinctive touch to your home.
This new range offers a wider choice, allowing everyone to select a clock that suits both their preferred language and personal taste.
It may appeal to people living abroad, multilingual families, language enthusiasts, travellers, or simply anyone looking for an original gift.
An English or German word clock can also add a distinctive touch to an office. An Italian, Spanish or Portuguese version can evoke a country close to your heart, a memorable trip or a special memory.
And with the option to switch the illuminated flag on or off, everyone can choose between a more understated look and a more colourful display.
